Lartington Lamb - Tip, the sheep dog
Tip

Born in 1993, my name is Tip. I am a border collie. I live at Low Crag Farm , Lartington, Barnard Castle, County Durham DL12 9DJ. I arrived at the farm when I was about 6 weeks old it was around Christmas time. It was very daunting at first as I missed my mother and family a lot but I remember being made very welcome by the Coggins family (my employers). As it was Christmas time I quickly developed a taste for turkey, sausage rolls and the odd martini which remains with me to this day.

I should explain who I share the farmhouse with, apart from the Coggins, there are a number of others. Firstly, there's Jade the alsation who was very kind to me when I first arrived and looked after me, in fact I called her auntie Jade for quite a while. Then there's Cecilia a ginger queen cat who's OK most of the time and sometimes helps me round the farm catching the odd mouse now and again. And so we come to Billy the ginger tom cat who really is a lazy devil, all he does is sleep all day, usually in the most comfortable place in the house.

My duties are quite extensive and include anything and everything to do with the sheep, as much as the boss will let me do with the cattle, catching moles, and of course rounding up the four hens we have, and they can be very awkward at times. My leisure activities include swimming in the nearby pond, eating, rounding up the four hens and riding anywhere in the front of the boss' Land Rover.
